Every year, 21st September is observed as International Peace Day,
which also unofficially called as 
World Peace Day.The day is dedicated to world peace, specially the absence of war and Violence. To mark the importance of the day, UNESCO and Scout members of Gomtu Higher Secondary School organised a peace talk in which students from classes seven to eleven took part. The day started with the talk on importance of the
day in the morning assemblies. Chart papers and banner carrying
peace messages were displayed  around the school campus. While in the peace talk competition, children talk about the importance of peace and roles our global citizen and youth in promoting the peace across the globe. "We don't want any more war in the the world, if we love one another and take care, peace will come automatically"said a girl student from class seven. Another one said, "if we need peace in the world first we must change our habits". This year's international peace day observed with the theme Climate Action for Peace.
